Shipping & Packaging
We ship 100% plastic-free. We use 100% compostable packaging down to our labels. Everything is certified backyard compostable, so go ahead, try it out and toss it in your yard waste or backyard compost!
When we first began creating our company and packaging, the discourse around gender-inclusive language had not yet evolved to where it is now. Since printing this set of labels, we recognize that ‘womxn’, which was intended to be an inclusive term, may cause more harm to our community than good. Our future packaging will reflect this and, in the meantime, we appreciate your understanding that growth, education, and inclusivity are never-ending processes that Yoka Miso is committed to. <3
We work to form lasting relationships with our partners in all areas of our operations, including design. Our wonderful logos and labels were designed by Emma Keenan-Grice. She is an Asian woman, visual designer and artist based out of San Francisco. Find her info here!
