This is it! The traditional soybean miso is the staple product and the reason for Yoka Miso. With a deep umami it's guaranteed to make you say "おいしい!!! (Oishii!)"
Our soybean miso is made with 4 simple ingredients. It is non-GMO and there is no sugar, high fructose corn syrup, food coloring, or any other unnecessary additives, and gluten free.

Garbanzo Bean Miso $14
This garbanzo bean (chickpea) miso paste offers a lighter, sweeter flavor, compared to our traditional soybean miso, and it still holds that deep umami flavor that miso has to offer. It's also a great alternative for those stayin' away from soy. Our garbanzo miso is soy free :) A Sugiyama family favorite.

Aka (red) Miso
Limited Quantities $20
Our Aka Miso (Red miso) is fermented longer than our traditional soybean miso and has a deeper, more robust flavor. We ferment our Aka Miso for 1.5 to 2 years.
Typically, Aka Miso is best used with meats and roasted vegetables, richer soups, and marinades. Don't limit yourself though! This miso can also step up your baking game or more (just sayin). Get creative and explore!
